It was really fun to practice sometimes annoying but I like trying new things plus I really wanted to perform but got more and more nervous over time, the costume I had to wear was not really a costume. You just had to wear what you’d normally wear at the beach (My part of the performance was based at the beach) but no skirts.
The song I had to dance to was good but the one I liked the most went like ‘Heave, Ho! 1,2,3 Raise the anchor out to sea! Up with the sail and away we go! Riding on the waves with a Yo, Ho, Ho!’ etc, etc.
We performed in the Mcfadden Centre and had to do two performances the first one first the juniors at our school and some other school. Everything was going well until the boat fell (If you know the Jonah and the whale story when a prophet was sent to Nineveh, Didn’t want to go went to Spain instead but on the boat ride there a storm came Jonah got eaten by a whale stayed in there for a few days and got spat out to Nineveh) And on the boat ride scene the cardboard boat fell. But the second time with the parents it went well and they all loved it.
